About Aquamarine
This film tells the story about a mermaid befriended by a couple of twelve year old girls after she washes up on the beach during a violent storm. Aquamarine manages to get herself to a pool in a dilapidated beach club where the girls love to hang out. The mermaid is in no hurry to get back to the safety of the deep, however, when she spots a cute young boy who works at the pool, and falls in love at first sight. She begs the girls to help her set up a date with him. Based on the book of the same name by Alice Hoffman, the film stars Sara Paxton, Emma Roberts, Shaun Micallef and Arielle Kebbel.
