About Goal! The Dream Begins

Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker) is a Mexican immigrant growing up in East LA. Although he dreams of playing professional soccer he believes he is destined to follow in his father’s footsteps, performing menial labor for menial wages.  However an extraordinary series of events transforms his life when he is spotted by a scout from Great Britain and suddenly finds himself trying out for Newcastle United, one of England ’s premier football clubs.  Rounding out the cast are Stephen Dillane, Anna Friel, Marcel Iures, Sean Pertwee, Alessandro Nivola and David Beckham.
