About Idlewild
Set in the prohibition-era South of the 1930's, the film focuses on the loves and dreams of Speakeasy performer and manager Rooster (Antwan Patton) and his piano player Percival (Andre Benjamin). The two join forces to hold off gangsters attracted by the club's success. This musical drama also features the talents of Ving Rhames, Patti LaBelle, Macy Gray, Ben Vereen, Cicely Tyson, Terrence Howard, Faizon Love, Malinda Williams, Paula Jai Parker, Jackie Long and Paula Patton.
