About Kids in America

Watching their civil rights evaporate before their eyes brings together an unlikely bunch of students at Booker High School .  When authoritarian principal Weller (Julie Bowen) comes down hard on her students for such actions as passing out condoms on National Safe Sex day and kissing same-sex partners in the hallway, Holden Donovan (Gregory Smith) has had enough.  He teams up with several fellow students to stop the principal from taking away their freedoms.  The group finds an advocate in teacher Mr. Drucker (Malik Yoba), but his association with the teens soon results in his dismissal by Principal Weller.  Drucker decides to use his unanticipated free time to produce a documentary about the persecuted students, thus exposing the principal’s hypocrisy to the entire community.
