Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is a loving father and husband determined to become partner in his architectural firm in order to indulge the needs and desires of his family. Overworked and stressed out, Michael tries to unwind by watching television after a long night of work. When he realizes he has been so absent from his home that he doesn’t even know which remote controls his television set, a frantic and frustrated Michael sets off on a mission to find a universal remote. Michael stumbles into an eccentric scientist, Morty (Christopher Walken), who gives him a remote that is guaranteed to change his life…literally. At the touch of his fingertips, Michael has the ability to rewind, fast-forward and even pause his everyday life.
