Flightplan Airs as the ABC Saturday Movie of the Week March 21  3/3/09

HEART-POUNDING "FLIGHTPLAN" AIRS AS THE "ABC SATURDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK," MARCH 21 

"Flightplan," the heart-pounding thriller starring Jodi Foster, Peter Sarsgaard, Erika Christensen, Sean Bean and Kate Beahan, airs as the "ABC Saturday Movie of the Week," MARCH 21 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The 2005 film will be broadcast in HDTV format with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio.

The action packed "Flightplan" tells the story of a mother and aircraft engineer, Kyle Pratt (Jodie Foster), who is in mourning over the loss of her husband as she brings his casket back to the United States on an aircraft she designed in Berlin. Travelling with her is her young daughter, Julia, who disappears while Kyle is asleep on the plane. No one on the flight seems to remember Julia even being with Kyle, who increasingly finds herself at odds with the flight crew and perhaps her own sanity as she challenges boundaries and takes things into her own hands to find her daughter.

"Flightplan" stars Jodie Foster as Kyle Pratt, Peter Sarsgaard as Carson, Sean Bean as Captain Rich, Kate Beahan as Stephanie, Erika Christensen as Fiona, Michael Irby as Obaid, Assaf Cohen as Ahmed, Greta Scacchi as Lisa, Shane Edelman as Mr. Loud, Mary Gallagher as Mrs. Loud, Haley Ramm as Brittany Loud, Forrest Landis as Rhett Loud and Marlene Lawston as Julia Pratt.

"Flightplan" is produced by Touchstone Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. The 2005 film was written by Peter A. Dowling and Billy Ray, and directed by Robert Schwentke. (CLOSED-CAPTIONED) (Broadcast in stereo where available)

FLIGHTPLAN" IN HDTV: The ABC Television Network's HDTV broadcast of "Flightplan" will air in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.
