JONAS BROTHERS TO HOST AND PERFORM ON "TEEN CHOICE 2009"
MONDAY, AUGUST 10, ON FOX
Multi-platinum recording artists Jonas Brothers are set to host TEEN
CHOICE 2009 airing Monday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The
Grammy-nominated artists will also perform during the 11th annual special
that celebrates the year's hottest teen icons in film, television, music,
sports and fashion.
The coolest stars, best films and hottest TV shows of 2008-2009 will
receive coveted Teen Choice Award Surfboards in categories such as Choice
Breakout TV Show, Choice Reality/Variety Show, Choice Breakout Artist,
Choice Male Hottie, Choice Female Athlete and Choice Hookup. The first
round of nominees, additional performers and presenters will be announced
soon.
Jonas Brothers (Kevin, Joe and Nick) became a pop music phenomenon with
the release of their platinum-selling albums "Jonas Brothers"
and "A Little Bit Longer." In 2008, they headlined two tours
that earned the band a spot among the top-selling tours of the year. They
won an American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist, and were recently
nominated for a Grammy in the Best New Artist category.
Jonas Brothers' appearance on TEEN CHOICE 2009 comes amid "The
Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009," which takes the band across three
continents, including three nights at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The U.S. leg of the tour kicks off June 20, following the release of their
highly anticipated "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" album, set to
be released worldwide on June 15.
TEEN CHOICE 2009 is executive-produced by Bob Bain ("Nickelodeon
Kids' Choice Awards") and Michael Burg. Paul Flattery serves as
producer, Kelly Brock is co-producer and Greg Sills serves as supervising
producer.
