more than just a little magic to get this good witch down the aisle in
"The Good Witch's Gift," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie
premiering Saturday, November 13 (8p.m. ET/PT, 7C). The "Army
Wives" star reunites with Chris Potter ("Heartland") to
reprise her role in the second sequel in Hallmark Channel's beloved movie
series, "The Good Witch," as an enchanting witch with a big
heart, who proves the perfect family cannot be conjured without a lot of
love. Also, as of this filing, breaking news that Catherine Bell has just
signed on to do a 4th installment of the highly-rated movie series which
will film during her "AW" hiatus this November.
Cassandra "Cassie" Nightingale (Bell) always has a few tricks
up her sleeve, but is surprised when her handsome fianc?, chief of police
Jake Russell (Potter), proposes they set their wedding date for Christmas
Eve?only six days away! The two hurry to plan the magical holiday wedding
in time to spend Christmas morning together as a family, but run into
trouble when a criminal from Jake's past, Leon (Graham Abbey, "The
Border"), returns to town. Jake fears Leon is planning to ruin the
nuptials, but he isn't prepared for the problems that arise in his own
family when his two teenaged kids get into a huge argument, and grandpa
George (Peter MacNeill, "Queer as Folk"), feeling unwanted in
the family, threatens to move out.
Cassie must deal with her own dilemma when the selfishly snobby mayor's
wife, Martha (Catherine Disher, "The Border"), searching for a
job in the bad economy, promotes herself from partygoer to wedding
planner. On the day of the big event, things only get worse as the
minister cancels at the last minute, and the marriage license arrives in
the mail bearing the wrong names. Just when it looks like Jake won't be
able to give Cassie the family she has always wanted for Christmas, he
finds out there is more to his magical bride than meets the eye.
"The Good Witch's Gift" is a Whizbang Films Production in
association with Lee Distribution, Inc. Orly Adelson, Jonathan Eskenas and
Frank Siracusa are the executive producers and Catherine Bell is
co-executive producer. Andrea Raffaghello is the producer. Craig Pryce
directed from a script by Rod Spence and G. Ross Parker.
