"ACCESS HOLLYWOOD" EXCLUSIVE: JULIA ROBERTS TALKS TO TONY
POTTS ABOUT HER NEW LIFE ON BROADWAY
ROBERTS TALKS ABOUT THE PAPARAZZI FRENZY AND THE POSSIBILITY OF
APPEARING IN "OCEAN'S THIRTEEN"
Roberts (on balancing her family life with the play): "It's A
Family Decision, Definitely, We Sort Of Had To Agree On It As A Family And
I'm Lucky, Like My Kids Are Here, They Have A Little Playroom
Upstairs."
BURBANK, Calif. - April 11, 2006- This week on "Access
Hollywood," Julia Roberts sits down exclusively with Tony Potts to
talk about her new life on Broadway as she stars in "Three Days of
Rain." The interview airs on "Access Hollywood" starting
Tuesday, April 11, 2006 (Log on to AccessHollywood.com for local listings
and times).
The Oscar(r)-winning actress told Potts that in making her decision to
move to New York and grace the stages of Broadway, "It's a family
decision, definitely, we sort of had to agree on it as a family and I'm
lucky, like my kids are here, they have a little playroom upstairs."
Roberts added about her experience thus far, "It's heaven truly, I
mean we were rehearsing one day and we had just moved into the theater and
it was dark out here and I was on stage and all the sudden, I hear 'Mama!'
and Hazel had come in and in the dark just to hear this little voice, it's
just incredibly amazing."
In talking about whether or not she ever considered sticking to the
quiet family life she was leading in New
Mexico and staying out of the circle of the paparazzi frenzy, Roberts
said, "The circle will exist and pull you into it whether you're
working or not. I mean I haven't worked for two years, that doesn't mean
I've gone two years without people taking my picture or putting me on the
cover of a magazine or making me a part of that vicious circle."
While it was recently reported that Roberts would not be appearing in
"Ocean's Thirteen," the "Ocean's Eleven" and "Ocean's
Twelve" star said, "I wouldn't go that far. One never
knows."
Roberts also added that her friend and "Ocean's Eleven" and
"Ocean's Twelve" co-star, George
Clooney, sent her twins "the most adorable little thing and so
unexpected coming from George, these incredibly sweet, very warm, I must
say super fuzzy, angora baby booties."
"Access Hollywood" is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC
Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rob K Silverstein is the
executive producer.
