ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Cinema takes you close-up with the stars of "Casanova" this Christmas Eve. Tune in on Saturday, December 24 for a sneak peek at Touchstone Pictures' romantic-comedy "Casanova" a day before it opens limited on December 25 and before it opens wide on January 6.

With "Casanova," Academy Award(R)-nominated director Lasse Hallstrom ("The Cider House Rules," "Chocolat") creates a sharp, sophisticated modern comedy from the long-running legend of Giacomo Cassanova, the Renaissance-era spy, soldier, writer, philosopher and adventurer who became famed as a notorious lover of women. Though Casanova's life and loves have been explored in dozens of screen incarnations, he has never been seen in so essentially human a predicament: befuddled by his stolen heart and trying to become a better man in his own clever fashion.

The film stars Heath Ledger as Casanova with Sienna Miller playing the object of his affection, Francesca. Joining Ledger and Miller in "Casanova" is a supporting cast of award-winning actors and comic personalities who bring the wild machinations of 18th century Venice to life including Jeremy Irons, Oliver Platte and Lena Olin.
