Premiering June 15, "Something New" is a romantic comedy
about finding love when it's least expected. Kenya McQueen (Sanaa Lathan)
is a beautiful career woman who has achieved great professional success
but still yearns for a fulfilling personal life. In her search for the
"perfect man," she's set up on a blind date with Brian (Simon
Baker), a sexy and free-spirited landscaper who's not exactly what she'd
pictured for herself. Alfre Woodard, Blair Underwood, Donald Faison and
Mike Epps also star in this emotional and often-hilarious comedy.
On June 22, step into the enchanted world of "Nanny McPhee"
where anything is possible. Academy Award winner Emma Thompson portrays a
mysterious nanny who is hired by recently widowed, Mr. Brown (Colin Firth)
to help tame his seven outrageously unruly children. The children have
managed to drive away 17 previous nannies, but as Nanny McPhee takes
control, they begin to notice that their misbehaving has magical and
startling consequences.
"Munich," the five time Academy Award nominated film directed
by Steven Spielberg debuts on June 22. This explosive suspense thriller
was inspired by the real-life events following the murder of 11 Israeli
athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games. The film stars Eric Bana, Daniel Craig
and Oscar winner Geoffrey Rush as players in an international campaign to
track down and eliminate the 11 Palestinians believed to have planned the
massacre.
Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick return to their award-winning roles
based on the Broadway smash-hit, "The Producers," premiering on
June 29. This hilarious film centers around the a scheming producer Max
Bialystock (Lane) and his mousy accountant, Leo Bloom (Broderick), who
discover that under the right circumstances they could make more money by
producing a Broadway flop than they can with a hit. But what will they do
when their sure-to-offend musical becomes a surprise sensation? Uma
Thurman, Will Ferrell and Gary Beach also star in this fun-filled,
sidesplitting comedy.
Check local listings with your cable or satellite provider to find out
