In JESSE STONE: SEA CHANGE, having settled in as the police chief of
the small New England town of Paradise, Mass., Jesse Stone's (Selleck)
ultimate nightmare has come true: He finds himself filling his time
writing parking tickets and struggling to keep his ever-present attraction
to beautiful women and booze under control.
With one of his officers on maternity leave and another fighting for
his life after suffering a gunshot wound, Jesse's restlessness gets the
best of him and he re-opens a 12-year-old cold case involving the murder
of a bank teller. Jesse finds his unsolved case unfolding while he's also
investigating the tawdry circumstances surrounding an alleged rape aboard
a yacht during the town's annual Race Week.
Viola Davis, Vito Rezza and Kohl Sudduth reprise their roles as the
staff of police officers whom Jesse inherited with the job. Stephen
McHattie reprises his role as State Homicide Commander Healy, William
Devane as Jesse's confidant, Dr. Dix, and Saul Rubinek as Jesse's now
convicted and jailed former benefactor, Hasty Hathaway. Emmy and Golden
Globe Award winner Kathy Baker ("Picket Fences") joins the cast
as a Paradise police officer, along with Sean Young ("CSI") and
Rebecca Pidgeon ("The Unit") who star as young women who catch
Jesse's eye, Mika Boorem ("Dawson's Creek") as a troubled
teenager whom Jesse counsels, and James Gammon ("Nash Bridges")
as a retired security guard with ties to the unsolved crime.
JESSE STONE: SEA CHANGE was produced by TWS Productions II and Brandman
Productions, Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television. Emmy Award
nominee Michael Brandman ("The Heidi Chronicles" and "Into
the Woods") and Tom Selleck are the executive producers; Emmy Award
nominee Steven Brandman ("The Heidi Chronicles") is the
producer. Emmy Award nominee Robert Harmon ("Ike: Countdown to
D-Day" and "Gotti," as well as the three previous Jesse
Stone movies) directed from a script by Ronni Kern ("Helen of
Troy").
