Englewood Cliffs, NJ – (October 24, 2007) – NBC Universal announced
today the premiere of the epic adventure "Evan Almighty” beginning
Tuesday, November 20, 2007 on pay-per-view (PPV) and on demand (VOD)
available in select markets in high-definition (HD). In addition to the
film, NBC Universal will also offer a category free on demand with special
features.
The following special features will be available free on demand:
· Special behind the scenes footage of "Evan Almighty” ·
Hilarious one-liners from co-star, Wanda Sykes · Steve Carell's
transformation into becoming the biblical character, Noah
The entertaining film, "Bruce Almighty” will also be available
for ordering as a library title at a reduced price.
Just in time for Thanksgiving, the film "Evan Almighty” brings
funnyman, Steve Carell, at his hilarious best as junior congressman Evan
Baxter, whose wish to "change the world" is heard by none other
than God (Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman). When God appears with
the perplexing request to build an ark, Evan is sure he is losing it. But
soon mysterious deliveries of wood and tools are being dropped on his
doorstep, animals of every shape and size are flocking to him two by two,
and his self-absorbed life goes from overnight success to almighty mess!
It's a great time for everyone! Directed by Tom Shadyac and also staring
John Goodman as Congressman Long, this film is sure to please everyone in
the family.
