About Oliver Twist
The Classic Dickens tale is reprised under the direction of Roman Polanski. The young orphan Oliver (Barney Clark) escapes the terrible conditions of a workhouse, only to fall under the control of the sinister Fagin (Sir Ben Kingsley). Fagin is the ringleader of a group of little boys whom he trains to pick pockets on the streets of 19th century London. Eventually Oliver is rescued from his desperate life by the kindly Mr. Brownlow, beginning a series of adventures that promise to lead to a better life.
