About The Greatest Game Ever Played
In the early 1900's Francis Ouimet (Shia LeBeouf) was a young golfer, the son of immigrants, who dreamt of playing against the sport's best. However, his social status bans him from the clubs - except as a caddy. Seizing the opportunity presented by an open tournament, Ouimet rocked the golfing world by defeating the reigning, snobbish English champ Harry Vardon (Stephen Dillane). Peyton List plays Ouimet's love interest. The film is based on the true story of the 1913 US Open.
