EDIE UNCOVERS THE DISTURBING TRUTH, ON ABC'S "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES"

 "A Spark. To Pierce the Dark." - Life is full of nasty shocks, on ABC's "Desperate Housewives," SUNDAY, MARCH 22 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). Bree considers selling her business to save her marriage, Lynette is threatened by her new boss, boundaries are crossed for Gaby and Carlos, Katherine is caught in the most unexpected of circumstances and Edie's worst fears come true.

"Desperate Housewives" stars Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Hodge, Eva Longoria Parker as Gabrielle Solis, Nicollette Sheridan as Edie Britt, Ricardo Antonio Chavira as Carlos Solis, Doug Savant as Tom Scavo, Kyle MacLachlan as Orson Hodge, Dana Delany as Katherine Mayfair, Neal McDonough as Dave, Shawn Pyfrom as Andrew Van De Kamp, Brenda Strong as Mary Alice Young, James Denton as Mike Delfino, Charlie Carver as Porter Scavo, Max Carver as Preston Scavo, Joshua Moore as Parker Scavo and Kendall Applegate as Penny Scavo.

Guest stars include Leslie Boone as Lucy, Richard Burghi as Karl Mayer and John Rubenstein as Principal Hobson.

"A Spark. To Pierce the Dark." was directed by David Grossman and written by Alexandra Cunningham.

"Desperate Housewives" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.

This episode of "Desperate Housewives" will be available on ABC.com the day after airing on the network for users to watch online.
