Jane Begins to Feel Inadequate as a Parent Next Week on "In the Motherhood"  4/17/09

JANE BEGINS TO FEEL INADEQUATE AS A PARENT WHEN BOYFRIEND SHEP SHOWS OFF HIS PARENTING SKILLS AND QUICKLY BONDS WITH HORATIO AND THE KIDS, AND ROSEMARY MENTORS EMILY IN THE ART OF GETTING EVEN, ON ABC'S "IN THE MOTHERHOOD" 

"Shepfather" - Jane's nervousness over boyfriend Shep meeting her kids turns into jealousy when he shows off his parenting skills and quickly bonds with Horatio and the children - making her think she's doing an inadequate job. 

Meanwhile, Rosemary teaches Emily the art of getting even when Emily loses her beloved status as head carpool driver to a rival neighbor, on "In the Motherhood," THURSDAY, APRIL 23 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"In the Motherhood" stars Cheryl Hines as Jane, Jessica St. Clair as Emily, Horatio Sanz as Horatio, RonReaco Lee as Jason and Megan Mullally as Rosemary.

Guest starring are Charlotte Foley as Annie, Sayeed Shahidi as Bill, Ken Marino as Shep, Liz Cackowski as Gretchen and Alex Enriquez as waiter.

"Shepfather" was written by Greg DiGregorio and directed by Lee Shallat Chemel.

"In the Motherhood" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.

This episode of "In the Motherhood" will be available on ABC.com the day after airing on the network for users to watch online.
