About Two for the Money

When a college football star’s dreams of NFL glory are sidelined by a career-ending injury, his path takes a very unexpected turn.  Brandon Lang’s (Matthew McConaughey) uncanny knack for predicting the outcome of games draws him into the notorious world of book making. Walter Abrams (Al Pacino), the head of one of the biggest “sports consulting” operations in the country, recruits the small town athlete and teaches him the ropes. Brandon quickly becomes comfortable with his role as front man and his newfound golden-boy lifestyle.  Their developing father-son relationship begins to crumble, however, when Brandon ’s gift begins to fail him and the money stops rolling in for Abrams.  As the situation grows ever more tense, old pro is pitted against protégé, and Abrams discovers that he has perhaps taught his student too well for his own good.
