About Waiting
A comedy about the shenanigans that take place behind the scenes among the staff at Shenanigan's, a generic chain restaurant in Anywhere, USA. Content for the four years since high school graduation with his fun, stress free, dead-end job as a waiter, Dean (Justin Long) suddenly finds himself thrown into turmoil when a classmate turns up with a lucrative job as an engineer. Dean's friend Monty (Ryan Reynolds) leads pretty much exactly the same life, but couldn't care less about engineering, or any other, careers. Monty takes charge of new guy Mitch (John Francis Daley), and over the course of a chaotic shift, Mitch and the audience are introduced to the Shenanigan's cast of quirky characters, who include stoned busboys, an overly zealous manager, Monty's street smart girlfriend, and an obsessive cook.
