About Walk the Line

This film chronicles the early years of the original Man in Black, legendary musician Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix), from his childhood on an Arkansas cotton farm, through his days as a door to door salesman and a tour of duty in the United States Air Force.  By the time he was thirty, Cash’s musical career was already established with Sun Records in Memphis , where he recorded along with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Also explored is the story of Cash’s romance with the love of his life, fellow musician June Carter (Reese Witherspoon).
